Tear-away stabilizer
10 inches of 1-1/2" wide ribbon
Teeny Teacher Designs
Embroidery threads

Step 1 -- Hoop tear-away stabilizer.  For the first thread, select a color to match the ribbon.  Stitch the first color on the bare stabilizer. 

Step 2 -- Pin the ribbon between the two rows of stitching.  Continue with the same thread that matches the ribbon.  The second "color" bastes the ribbon to the stabilizer.

Step 3 -- Embroider the motifs

Step 4 -- Remove basting stitches and tear away excess stabilizer.
