To prevent the fabric
color from showing through the design, the white furry
designs
have stitches that will anchor a scrap of white fabric under the design.
Hoop the colored fabric and stabilizer as usual. Lay a scrap of white or
off-white fabric over the design area. You may pin the scrap or carefully
use your
fingers to keep it smooth while the anchoring stitches sew.
Attach the hoop to your machine and stitch the first color.
Remove the hoop from the machine but do not un-hoop the fabric.
Use small scissors with a thin blade to trim the fabric very close to the
stitches.
Use short strokes and do not worry if you accidentally clip a stitch or two.
Return the hoop to the embroidery machine and continue stitching as usual.
